Welcome to Camp!

Salisbury, CT, in the Berkshires region of the Northeast, has been special to Jess and her family for over four decades. This is where she learned how to ski and swim, and she has many happy childhood memories of roasting marshmallows and spending time with family and friends.

In 2012, Jess’ family purchased a former summer camp across the street from their home, complete with a dining hall and cabins. With a few touch-ups, the property has become a treasured spot for Bendit family gatherings. When DJ first visited Salisbury in 2019, he felt an immediate connection. During the pandemic, he and Jess lived here for three months and got to experience DJ’s first East Coast snowfall. Some of DJ’s favorite Berkshires activities include boat rides, grilling, and playing with Milo the dog. We treasure the time we get to spend in Connecticut as a chance to explore the area’s natural beauty and live life at a slower pace.

In thinking about where we wanted to get married, Salisbury was our first and most obvious choice. DJ was an avid camper as a child, and spent six summers at Camp CIMI on Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California. Jess went to camp too but spent most of her time reading in her bunk. During your time with us, you are welcome to run around, play games, or simply find a shady spot to sit, read, and enjoy the view.

We are delighted to share this special place with you and look forward to celebrating with you as we take this next step in our journey together.
